Description
Rio Celeste and Tenorio Volcano National Park with Tubing
Tenorio Volcano National Park is home to one of the most beautiful rivers in Costa Rica, Rio Celeste. This hike will take you through the lush rainforest to an amazing turquoise-colored river, lagoon, and waterfall. The turquoise color comes from an optic phenomenon produced by aluminosilicate minerals that refract the sunlight. The hike takes about four hours. The combination of rainforest, volcanic activity, and the majestic waterfall showcases the true natural beauty of Costa Rica. After our walk, we will go to a local soda (traditional little restaurant) for a delicious lunch, then add to the adventure by floating down the river on an inner tube for approximately an hour and a half.
