Description
Rio Celeste Hike in the Tenorio Volcano National Park
Tenorio Volcano National Park is home to one of the most beautiful rivers in Costa Rica, Rio Celeste. This hike will take you through the lush rainforest to a fantastic turquoise-colored river, lagoon, and waterfall. The turquoise color comes from an optic phenomenon produced by aluminosilicate minerals that refract the sunlight. The hike takes about 4 hours. The combination of rainforest, volcanic activity, and the majestic waterfall showcases the true natural beauty of Costa Rica.
